At Guiseley Lights, we’re all about bringing people together and creating something special for our community. Twice a year, we organise events that light up the town (literally!)—but what you might not see is the amazing team of volunteers behind the scenes, working throughout the year to make it all happen.
And that’s where you come in!
You don’t need any specific experience to volunteer with us, just a bit of enthusiasm and a willingness to help. Whether you’re a people person, a practical problem-solver, or someone who just wants to give something back, we’d love to have you on board.
Here are just a few of the ways you could get involved:
Behind the Scenes
Help with planning, organising, and keeping everything running smoothly. If you’re good with ideas, admin, coordination, finance, or just enjoy keeping things on track, this is a great fit!
Hands-on Help
If you enjoy building, fixing, or working with electrics, your skills are incredibly valuable. From creating displays, putting up lights and setting things up safely, there’s always something to do.
Community & Outreach
Love chatting to people? You could help us connect with local residents and businesses, secure sponsorships, or gather prizes for events. It’s a great way to meet people and make a real impact.
Event Setup & Support
We always need help with setting up in the morning and clearing everything away at the end of the day. Or what about becoming one of our ‘bucket chuggers’ and collecting donations from the visitors?
